Let me tell you why I need your help.

my darling daughter Sophie Olivia passed away on the 16th March 2014. She was only 2.5 years old when she passed away.

Sophie was Diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata (RCDP) which affects less than 1 in 100,000 people worldwide. This condition is life limiting.

In her short life, Sophie underwent 3 major surgeries. These were to remove cataracts from both eyes and to have a gastrostomy fitted.

Sophie required 24/7 care. She wasn’t able to hold her own head up, walk, talk or feed herself. I did regular physio for her but she did so much for me. She gave my life a purpose!

Sophie taught me multiple lessons along the way. She taught me to smile every day, even through the tough ones. She taught me to be brave, even though I was terrified of losing her daily and most importantly she taught me that her love would last years after she passed over.

This is where I ask for your help!

After almost 12 years, Sophie still doesn’t have a headstone.

I feel like I’ve failed her as a mother because I can not raise the funds for one alone.

Sophie deserves the BEST! A beautiful headstone to honour the amazing, brave and beautiful young lady she was.
