Sophie Needs Your Help For Gender Affirming Surgery Recovery

Hi all, my name is Sophie, and I work in the NYC theater community.

At the end of July, I’ll finally be getting gender affirming bottom surgery done. I’ve been wanting to get this procedure done for years and years, and I can’t believe it’s finally happening.

I live in a supportive state where my insurance is paying for the surgery. However, I need to account for all the other bills and expenses that will come while I’m recovering at home over the following 2-3 months. That includes things like rent, groceries, credit card/utility payments, and the ability to get Lyfts back and forth from the hospital as needed. Living in NYC, I’m sure you can imagine how fast it adds up.
