Sophie Needs Chemo
Donation protected
Our boxer dog Sophie just turned 8 years old on 9/12/22. However, we noticed she was not acting herself and wasn't really eating for a few days, and didnt even want her birthday treats. After numerous trips to the vet, a few days in the ICU, and different tests, we were heartbroken to find out that she has stage 4 lymphoma.
With no treatment, survival time is about 1-2 months. The best treatment for lymphoma is a 25-week multi-drug chemo regimen, called CHOP which estimates a median survival of about 12 months.
Sophie has been a part of our family since she was 12 weeks old. We love our Sophie girl more than anything, and she still has so much love and life in her to share.
We don't want to lose our Sophie pup and want to try to get more time with her by using the gold-standard chemo regimen, of course making sure that she maintains her quality of life as we embark on her cancer journey.
So far, the initial treatment has been $4000 to determine the diagnosis and her full 25 week regimen is estimated to cost about $12,000.
We usually don't ask for help, but this is a big financial undertaking to keep our Sophie alive and with us. Anything you can donate to help will go directly to medical bills for Sophie. We appreciate your support!
