True confession: for years, I've dreamed of recording an album.

And friends, I am elated to invite you to join me in sharing the gift of vibrant connection and soulful music with the world!

Let's start at the very beginning...

My musical began with a surge of energy and shine of success. Early years were replete with excitement: I started taking piano lessons at the age of 4, and cello lessons at the age of 10; by 14, I had played as piano soloist with orchestra, and by 18, I was featured with both the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Philharmonic. I landed at Rice University with the inimitable Jon Kimura Parker, graduated cum laude with a degree in Classical Piano Performance... and then, it's off to the races, right?!

Well... not exactly. For the next 10 years, my path was winding and rich with diverse life experiences. I was compelled to depart from the pursuit of music, and instead focus on other areas of interest. I worked in the Houston restaurant industry for several years, before moving to Portland and opening a yoga and wellness studio, Vibrant  Studios, in 2012. Through both of these ventures, I learned invaluable lessons about management, organization, and interpersonal skills; I also explored the many ways that different modalities (like movement and food) can serve as tools for connection and community.

After moving to Portland, music started knocking on my door; first gently, and then with "thuds" so loud and resounding I couldn't deny them! I started teaching private piano lessons, and performing casually for friend's events and weddings; I rediscovered the joy of collaborative playing, and began participating in small concerts with my musical peers. After years of dormancy, my musical energy began to flow full-force when I landed a gig with the Seattle Philharmonic in 2018; since then, I have been amazed by all the ways music has become the centerpiece of my vibrant creative entrepreneurial life.

In 2019, I founded Connections Concert Series, a multi-genre concert series based on tenets of inclusivity, intentionality, collaboration, and community. We've had an abundantly successful first season, featuring over 35 of the Pacific Northwest's finest multi-cultural performers sharing music and conversation with sold-out crowds. In 2020, I made my first appearance on the TEDxPortland stage, and revived my rendition of "Rhapsody in Blue" with the Olympia Symphony.

Here's a clip of that incandescent & irresistible Rhapsody in Blue:

As my creative energy has been burning bright with energy, motivation, and enthusiasm, the dream of recording an album has been simmering on the back burner....

And finally, I am ready to live out my deep mission of connection in a new way: by recording an album of classical piano music! This will allow me the immense honor of sharing my music beyond my local platform, and reaching out to a worldwide network of music lovers.

This is my first ever professional recording, and is a huge and vulnerable undertaking for me. My track list is ambitious - featuring Chopin, Debussy, Gershwin, and female composer Ulric Cole - and I am thrilled to work with a excellent team of professionals to craft a truly special album.  This engaging and evocative collection of great classical and modern piano music is a true joy to undertake.

Friends, I am committed to creating an album that conveys my passion and profound love for classical music, and serves as a conduit for deep connection for listeners.

Your support is deeply appreciated. Let's make this dream a reality!
