Hi, my name is Sophie, and I’m a 13-year-old Shih Tzu-Maltese with a heart as big as my personality. Even though I’m sassy, my family loves me very much, and they desperately want me to keep wagging my tail for at least a few more years. Unfortunately, I’ve been diagnosed with kidney cancer, and things are tough for me! I rarely eat much anymore, and I’ve lost a noticeable amount of weight. I miss playing with my toys and running around with zoomies. I know I still have a lot of energy, love, and nibbles left to give. With treatment, I hope to get back to my normal self. The thing is… my treatment is expensive. My surgery alone will cost around $8,000, and there will be more treatment to come.
