Sophie Barcus Fundraising for Bald Ballerina

Sophie is inspired by Maggie Kudirka ( Bald Ballerina)'s beauty, strength and perseverance while going through terminal breast cancer. It takes a lot to remain so positive and create awareness for such an important cause.

Maggie was 23 years old and a ballet dancer with the Joffrey Concert Group in NYC when she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer which put her career on hold. Maggie has been going through consistent treatments for over 7year. In October 2021, she had a significant progression and had to return to weekly chemotherapy.

Over the years she has continued to dance, teach and educate young dancers about her cancer and life.
