Sophie and Simon
Donation protected
Simon was diagnosed with primary sclerosis cholangitis and autoimmune hepatitis when he was a teenager. In lamemans terms both of these diseases attack the liver. In 2014 Simon had his first liver transplant at the age of 27. The past two years, his health slowly declined again, as the diseases he has are recurrent.
On Wednesday 24th May the descion was made that Simon would no longer be eligible for a transplant and the end of life care plan kicked in. He will be coming home with hospice care until he passes away.
Having known Sophie and Simon a long time, what they are going through right now is quite frankly cruel. I’m hoping by creating this fundraiser, that we can help take some of the financial burden off Sophie, let them enjoy their last few weeks together, make memories with their children and maybe some extra to help with the cost afterwards for Sophie. This is something no family should have to go through, especially with such young children losing their dad and Sophie her partner. I know times are difficult for everyone at the moment, but if you can spare anything then great, if you can’t please just share so we reach as many people as possible. Thankyou.
