Sophia's Vet Bills & Expenses

Hi everyone. It pains me to write this, but today I found out that Sophia has a tumor on her liver and that it will require major surgery to remove. I never expected to be in this situation, seeing her in pain and unable to walk, but I’m hopeful that I can get her the care she needs with your support.

Most likely, you are here because I have positively impacted you through the fitness space, you’re a close friend and have met Sophia, or you’ve been connected to Christopher in one way or another. My ex Christopher and I adopted Sophia in 2015; she has been a significant part of our lives. Even after we broke up, we continued to share custody of her because she brought us so much love and support. Sophia was there for Christopher during the loss of both his grandparents and his mother's unexpected death. She has kept me company during tough times and has provided the emotional support I’ve needed to be ok. If you’ve met her, you know just how much love she gives to anyone who meets her and how important she is to us both.

To be fully transparent, the last year has been a struggle for Christopher due to the loss of his grandparents and mother and the pandemic. And I myself have dealt with some health issues while working extremely hard to provide for myself. Unfortunately, neither of us is financially able to handle the unexpected vet bills and the time off from work to take care of her. I am creating this gofundme in hopes that I can get her the medical attention she needs to survive as well as help Chris and I out with her recovery after surgery. I understand that many people are facing financial hardships during this time, but anything you can spare would be greatly appreciated. Sophia means so much to us both and she deserves an opportunity to survive this.
