I'm starting this GoFundMe for one of the most important people in my life because he would never allow himself to ask for this help; he is selfless to a fault. He didn't even want me to bother my vet friend with our questions.

Angel and I's cat Sophia is very sick and we're at a wall. Starting yesterday early morning, Sophia started to vomit and refuse all food and water. We quickly decided something was wrong and immediately took her to the vet.

After $850 in tests and X-rays, we were told she was just dehydrated and a little constipated and needed time. I've consulted with other veterinary industry friends who have told me she should have improved by now if that was the case, and it's become apparent we need to seek further treatment at a different veterinary office.

Neither of us have the means to pay for additional vet bills and treatment, and that isn't fair for Sophia. It's looking like there may be a need for surgery, and I don't know how to process that.

I'm working through my own pride and stubbornness to drop the put-together facade and ask for help. Anything you can contribute is more appreciated than we can ever say.

We just want to save Sophia.
