Thank you for logging onto this page. We are in need of URGENT funds to rescue Sophia from NOW 2 VERY debilitating and disabling conditions one called a spinal CSF leak which is potentially fixable. On 10th February 2022 Sophia had a planned c section as her waters went 7 weeks early, this should of been one of the best days of their lives, after baby was born during theatre Sophia had the worst most painful excruciating crushing head pain.

She was screaming in pain & not ONE health professional knew what it was!! When she laid down, the pain went away. It took 7 weeks of calling St Richards hospital in Chichester West Sussex & the midwife to be diagnosed with Intracranial Hypotension & low pressure headache! This is characterised initially by severe head pains which are relieved by lying down. Your brain and spinal cord is surrounded by a bag of fluid called CSF. The bag is called the dura. This supports the brain to float and shock absorbs movement. A hole in the dura means the CSF leaks out leading to a range of horrible symptoms. Sophia now has UNFORTUNATELY BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH ARACHNOIDITIS CAUSED FROM THE 3RD BLOOD PATCH PROCEDURE IN OCTOBER 22 & MADE SOO MUCH WORSE BY 2 MORE RECENT PROCEDURES ONE INVOLVING ANOTHER BLOOD PATCH PROCEDURE THAT HAS CAUSED ANOTHER LEAK & SEVERE SPINE & BRAIN INFLAMMATION & AN ICP BOLT PROCEDURE IN THE BRAIN TO MEASURE HER ICP PRESSURE IT WAS HORRIFIC, TRAUMATIC & A CRUEL PROCEDURE TO GO THROUGH CAUSING SO MUCH PAIN & SUFFERING WITHOUT ANY ANSWERS OR PLAN GOING FORWARD!

SHE IS JUST LEFT SUFFERING, HOMEBOUND & MOSTLY BEDBOUND INFRONT OF HER 3 CHILDREN.

SHE HAS BEEN ON IV & ORAL HIGH DOSES OF STERIODS FOR THE ARACHNOIDITIS WHICH CAUSES SEVERE BURNING IN HER SPINE, LEGS & FEET, ELECTRIC SHARP SHOCKS IN HER FEET & AFTER THE PROCEDURES IT HAS NOW SPREAD TO HER NECK, ARMS, HANDS & OVER HER FACE! CAUSING NUMBNESS OF HER FACE & TOUNGE AFFECTING HER SPEECH, COGNITIVE FUNCTION & MEMORY LOSS, SEVERE CRUSHING PAIN IN HER WHOLE SPINE & DOWN HER LEGS!

CONSTANT 24 HOUR PAIN THAT NO ONE SHOULD SUFFER!

NO PAIN MEDICATION CAN TOUCH!

ALL FROM NHS NEGLECT!

Her conditions also cause:

Nausea, severe pain in her whole spine, neck pain, memory loss, lack of concentration, unable to function, pins & needles, tingling, Imbalance, Hearing hypersensitivity, Body Jerks, weakness, tinnitus and a feeling of heaviness and pressure in her head, she can literally feel her brain being CRUSHED!

Due to the effect of the CSF leak & Arachnoiditis she is unable to sit up for more than a few minutes at a time.

Imagine not being able to sit up when you want to, because your brain feels like its being crushed.

She has endured being stuck lying down, day and night for nearly 3 years!

Each change from lying to sitting is a major challenge and becomes harder through the day.

She feels ill and is in pain, and has become distressed and depressed.

It's now affecting her heart rate & overall health & every day life.

She is soo desperate to be a Mum to her 3 children again & live instead of just exist in pain.

Her working life and family roles seem a distant memory.

I am asking to raise funds to save Sophia from this torture.

These funds will enable us to Pay for all her private appointments & consultations & hopefully get her abroad for the much needed surgery she needs.

As the nhs have refused to help her!

In Germany they have the specialist knowledge, and expertise to try and locate and fix the CSF leak that Sophia has.

We hope she will then be able to return to an upright world and be the Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend and Partner she was until February 2022.

I think the worst part about having a iatrogenic (Caused from a needle or surgery) csf leak is how DISRESPECTED the NEGLIGENCE makes you feel. For me, this wasn’t self inflicted or spontaneous, this didn’t happen out of the blue or through nature!!

I had a fully functional, healthy, happy & sometimes crazy brain, spine & nervous system, until uneducated James Ibbotson at St Richards hospital stabbed me in the back!! WITHOUT READING MY NOTES THAT HAD "SCOLIOSIS OF THE SPINE" IN CAPITAL LETTERS!! & Asked me if I knew I had a curve in my spine!!!

That's when I stopped him & asked to be put to sleep as his lack of knowledge made me realise 1: They didn't read my notes!

& 2: They didn't know the name "scoliosis" of the S shape in my spine!!

I was then pinned down by 3 members if staff & told "I was in safe hands" don't move, so obviously I put my faith in them & they were laughing & joking throughout the whole c section! Nearly 3 years later I'm bedridden in agonising pain!!

While they get up & walk, work, live every day just leaving me to suffer.

I have suffered over 2 & A HALF YEARS of SEVERE pain in my head & spine, cognitive problems, nerve problems, and constant pain & suffering!!!

St Richards hospital did direct damage to my body & DID NOT DOCUMENT THE LOCATION!!

All they had to do was write in my notes TWO LETTERS L1-L5 of the location the spinal blick was carried out BUT NO IT WAS TOO MUCH HARD WORK!!

Instead of doing what they could to help, listen and find options to make it right, they deny the existance of my pain and the fact they are the ones directly responsible!

They would rather deny everything then put their hands up & help me get better!

Not only did they cripple me overnight, Keri Ashpole the anaesthetist, proudly preyed on my weakness to cover their fault.
