Hi all!

My name is Sophia Mie Iimura and I am fundraising for my 4-week volunteer mental health placement in Bali this September with SLV.

SLV offers a placement that allows support for individuals and learning experience for both parties which I am lucky enough to have gotten this opportunity.

I will be working in a psychiatric facility and interacting with people who suffer from various mental illnesses. Additionally, I will also be working with individuals with special needs and teaching English to young children.  

This is a placement that I believe will help make an impact not only to myself but to the people I’ll be working with. It is not only about combating a global issue such as mental illnesses, but it also goes to show that young people have the ability to make a change in the society. It would be amazing if you can support me in making a difference in other people’s lives by donating. Thank you for your generosity and contributions to a better future. I’ll really appreciate it.
