Sophia Rose Coal Relay 2026. 

This Sophia Rose Coal Relay was established in 2023, by Mr Fox. When he heard that Sophia Rose Carnwath was born eternally sleeping. The idea of a coal relay came to him as he was due to participate in the kelty coal race in a few months time. 

Fast forward to 2026, we are organising the 4th Sophia Rose Coal Relay. 

We aim to have 3 teams for the adults and 1 team for children to have a taster!

Each adult team will be formed of men and women who will carry either 50kg or 25kg of coal for almost 1km. 

In the past we have donated funds raised to the Maternity Unit, Held in Our Hearts, Mollys Memory, Richmonds hope, Remember my Baby and Andy’s Man Club. This year we are still playing with ideas with what to do with money fundraised. (Suggestions/ideas encouraged) 

More importantly each year has brought together a community, remembering babies who are in our hearts. 

In addition to the Coal Relay…

Fraser is running minimum 5k per day. This year marks the 10th anniversary of his and his wife’s baby called Hope. You can follow his journey on social media. 

Angi and Nathan are swimming 17,100m each, in memory of the 171 baby’s born sleeping, in Scotland, 2023.
