Sophia Fights Bacterial Meningitis

My granddaughter, 3 1/2 year old sweet Sophia, is fighting with every ounce of her being, embracing the help of aggressive medical procedures to gain her happy and healthy life back.
Doctors are utterly baffled because since the H- flu vaccine there have been so few cases of BACTERIAL MENINGITIS for the past 20 years. What happened?
Sophia is usually a happy, active, creative, and loving child and truly enjoys pre-school. Now, she is confined to a hospital bed, crying constantly because of a terrible headache, sniff neck, with a continuous IV that prevents her from feeling any comfort. This infection is "ruthless and brutal" and keeps Sophia weak and sad!! We cry for her pain, but put on a smile for Sophia.....she has enough sadness of her own!
They are a one income family and will surely be struggling to pay the hospital bills and any aftercare Sophia may need.
The road to recovery will be a long one and we want so much to see that beautiful, smiling face again.
