Sophi Cahalan

As many of you may know, Brian Cahalan, was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on August 18th, 2023. He leaves behind his daughter, Sophi Cahalan, who is 20 years old.

Sophi moved home from college after her father was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon rectal cancer. A few months prior to his passing, we were informed he was disease free. However, tragedy struck again.

On August 18th, Sophi responded to the scene of the accident. She was informed by State Patrol that her father was deceased. Sophi is a full time student at St. Catherine University, while also working a full time job. As next of kin, she is responsible for the legalities that come after loss.

GOAL OF FUNDRAISER:

The goal of this fundraiser is to alleviate some of the financial stress on Sophi. She deserves the ability to grieve the loss of her father and best friend without having to deal with financial stress.

What the money will go towards:

- Covering moving expenses.

- Help with school payments.

- Attorney/legal fees for dealing with… (estate, taxes, his business and it’s clients, creditors)

- Gas, groceries, etc.

Sophi has not received any financial assistance throughout this process. We (Sophi’s best friend and her boyfriend) have created this GoFundMe in hopes of helping to provide Sophi with some financial stability and emotional support.

Dad would be so proud with the way you’ve handled everything. You continue to amaze me every single day with your grace and intelligence. You were always your dad’s angel, and now he’s yours forever. We all love you. Keep being great.
