Help Soo Na and her dogs get housed!!
Donation protected
Please keep Soo Na and her family from ending up on the street!
Soo Na is a queer Korean American writer and dog mom in an extremely precarious situation in Oakland, CA. We are raising funds for her to find new safe housing, a used car, as well as food and interim housing and transportation for her and her two dogs.
She had just moved back to the Bay into a new group house when she was physically attacked by a housemate and had her car totaled. She has also recently lost access to her debit card and is unable to access funds for places to stay, food for herself and her dogs, and other basic needs like access to a laundromat.
Soo Na is an immunocompromised and chronically ill person, and facing this situation in the middle of a pandemic makes it that much more dangerous. Nobody should have to experience this. Any funds, job leads, or in-person assistance you’re able to offer would go a long way in helping Soo Na get a safe place to land.
(If you can provide non-financial assistance, please email hsyoshimoto AT gmail dot com. If you are helping in person, we ask that you be comfortable either corralling dogs or with dogs being around you. Of course, we also ask that you wear a mask.)
THANK YOU!!!! <3
