Sonrise Sandlot Baseball Recovery Fund
Donation protected
The Sonrise Sandlot Baseball Club is a clinic/league that was started by Christian Spear and other caring parents after these kids had lost a full year of 2020 season baseball/fall ball (along with school, play dates, and everything else important to a 7-year old) to the Coronavirus quarantine. Unbelievably, despite all the community benefit intended by setting up a neighborhood league, their storage room was broken into. They lost everything that had been generously donated. This included a used, but much-cherished, high-end pitching machine and generator, along with other equipment. The team went on to play that night, but it was hard to explain to these kids what had happened.
We are one of the players great aunt and uncle. We are setting up this fund to replace as much of the equipment as possible. But also to make a statement to these kids that there are amazing and good people in the world too. And to encourage the adults who had already given up so much to help these little guys play ball, that they are not alone, that they are amazing!
Thank you for your donation.
