Dear Friends and Family,
Our cherished brother, Sonny Dingle Pinela, was involved in a serious car accident early in the morning on February 22, 2025, while away for work in Kansas City, MO. He was a passenger in a vehicle that went off the highway, struck multiple trees, and burst into flames. By a miracle, Sonny escaped the car, saving his life.
The accident has left him in critical condition with multiple serious injuries. He has already undergone surgery and may need more procedures in the near future. While he is fighting to heal, his journey is far from over.
Even after being released from the hospital, he will require extensive at-home care, as well as months of physical and occupational therapy to regain his strength and mobility. The road to recovery will be long and challenging, but we believe that with the support of his loved ones and community, he can overcome this.
Currently, he is hospitalized in Kansas City, approximately 1,700 miles from his home in California. His wife and family will need to travel from California to Kansas multiple times throughout this healing journey. Doctors have indicated that it could take weeks or even months before Sonny is well enough to return home.
We are reaching out to ask for your support in easing the financial burden of travel expenses, medical bills, rehabilitation, and necessary home care. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will significantly help Sonny focus on healing without the added stress of financial hardship.
