Sonny's Breast & Lung Cancer Treatment

Dear Friends,

My name is Jenny (Nam Lee), and I am writing to you today on behalf of my sister, Sonny Lee, and her two boys. Her family is facing an immense challenge, and we are reaching out with hope and a request for support during this critical time.

Sonny has gone through a lot and is fiercely independent. After a complicated, bitter, 15-year-long international custody battle, she finally returned home to the US in 2015 to try and provide a better life for her children. During her time abroad she never asked for help and managed to raise her boys singlehandedly. However, she was recently dealt a devastating blow when she was diagnosed with both breast and lung cancer. She's neither genetically predisposed nor a smoker and has always maintained a healthy lifestyle; which is why these cancers came as a complete shock. She's been paying for her insurance out of pocket, but the medical expenses are starting to pile up and she's had to take time off work. She'll be starting chemo soon and our goal is to raise funds totaling 30,000 to provide the necessary support for her medical expenses, loss of income, and future surgeries.

With no significant savings, assets to fall back on, or support network here in the US we genuinely rely on the compassion and generosity of this community.
