Sonny's 1st Birthday

Our son Sonny was born on the 6th of August 2021 at 22 weeks and passed away in our arms shortly after he was born.

To honour Sonny’s first birthday, we hope to donate copies of the book “Miles Apart by Annabel Bower” in Sonny’s name to both Boxhill and The Mercy hospital, where we were cared for during Sonny’s pregnancy and birth.

This book was honestly the only thing I could relate to in the early days and weeks of trying to re-navigate life after losing our son and offered a glimmer of hope during the most difficult time of our life.

We hope that by donating copies of the book, other families leaving the hospital without their baby will have the closest thing I found to a “survival guide” to manage the impossible days and challenges ahead.
