I moved to Charleston SC two years ago, taking a leap of faith and moving away from everything I knew. I found Sonny down at the animal society. He was causing problems in the other room, very fitting for him. I asked one of the girls, what’s that? She said that’s “Orange thunder” I said I want to see him. Instantly he came and rubbed his head on me, we clicked. So I brought him home- I renamed him Sonny.. after Sonny from a Bronx tale and ironically he is the opposite of a mob gangster personality, instead he is a ray of sunshine, every single day. This guy has got me through some adversities and I promised him I would do everything in my hands I could control.
Fast forward to now. Sonny had to be taken in and with multiple X-rays he is shown with an obstruction in the stomach. Going back n forth with what to do I was given no other option then going with surgery for my best friend. This surgery plus all the other X-rays, medicine and emergency care is currently uncapped but the least is a quote of $6000 and I have already put out over $1000. I don’t do this, asking for help from friends and strangers. I have exhausted all funds and don’t want to say goodbye just yet. I appreciate you reading this, your thoughts, prayers whatever you have to offer Sonny, my sweet Charleston boy. #animalrescue #animalshelter #surgery #animal #catrescue #emergency #fundraising
