Help Sonny and Mia get back on the road

Hello, my name is Mia I am a 30 year old single mama from originally northern utah. I moved into my 2008 Chevy van back in early September with my toddler Sonny and Chihuahua Gypsy. We have made our way from California to Arizona for the warmer weather this the winter. Unfortunately we having some pretty severe engine problems. There needs to be a valve replaced in one of the cylinders. Seeing as it a is a pretty labor intensive job it way over our budget. The van has 120,000 miles on it so definitely a lot of life left to live. This is the first major problem with her I have every confidence going along way for us along this journey. I don’t know where else to turn at this point. I’m putting it out there for help, with all the positive intentions to keep my family safe as we move towards bigger goals. We plan to help build an earth bag community in Santa Fe next spring. The aim this winter was to just spend all the time I can with my growing wild child while nurturing the freedom felt while on the open road. With tax season and not much intention on putting too many miles on the van between now and the spring, I was hoping to skate on the small amount monthly I bring in until then. The opportunity build a homestead with likeminded people in the desert is such a dream for what I want my son and our little family. So the blow to our only real refuge is causing some real uncertainty. With light and love✨
