Sonni Days Ahead

Backstory:

The morning of July 12th I walked into Fairmont Medical ER with severe stomach pain. My CT Scan showed a large mass (7 cm) and a perforated rectum. I was then transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital. After numerous blood tests and scans, two procedures, and colostomy surgery, I walked out exactly a week later with a diagnosis of Stage 3C colorectal cancer.

Since then, I've had numerous labs, PET scan, pain management, and oncology appointments. On September 7th, two days after my 40th birthday, I had my chemo port placed and begin infusions on the 16th. My treatment plan is:

Phase I- Chemo infusions (Every 2wks for 3mths)

Phase II- Radiation + oral chemo (5X/wk for 3mths)

PhaseIII- Surgery to remove tumor

PhaseIV- Colostomy reversal surgery
