For those of you who did not have the pleasure of knowing Sonja McKinlay, there is only one word to describe her and that is remarkable. Sonja’s presence would instantly light up the room with her big smile and infectious laugh.  Sonja battled breast cancer for a courageous five years, and then an additional year after cancer spread into her bones and brain. Sonja never let her illness dictate what she could and could not do. Especially when it came to her two amazing daughters Meghan and Stephanie to whom she devoted her life to. Being a mother was always a top priority, she went to every sporting event and always cheered her daughters on. She never wanted pitty she just wanted to enjoy her beautiful life with her beautiful family. Sonja will be missed dearly as a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. No amount of money could ever bring this beautiful women back but every penny will help to ensure that she will have a beautiful service so that those who had the privilege to know and love her can say goodbye properly.
