Hi, my name is Kelsey Smith, I am the daughter of Sonja Moulder. Sonja was recently diagnosed with a life-threatening cancer after developing a large tumor at the floor of her mouth. She first noticed a nodule in her neck, then over the course of a few short months, the tumor beneath her tongue swelled to the size of a peach seed, causing difficulty swallowing/eating/talking. On September 15, 2025, she had a bilateral neck dissection, and at the beginning of October, she will have an anterior glossectomy. This means a large portion of her tongue will be removed, and to supplement her nutrition, the doctors will simultaneously place a feeding tube. We could not bear to think what we would do without her.... We are asking for your help with funds so Sonja can rest stress-free while she recovers from these life-changing procedures.

UPDATE: The first procedure went very well but was much more invasive than we could have imagined. Sonja is recovering at home with her husband, Richard, and her sister, Vala.
