Sonja and Jefferson's ER medical financial help.

Aanii, Boozhoo. I am Sonja Ballew. As most of you know, I was injured at work April 14, 2023. I ended up with a concussion and whiplash. The 1st medicine given to help, gave me seizures and I even broke teeth while standing siezed. I have been able to work about 10 days since that day in April. I was covered under workmans comp at 80% of wages until June but I was only working part time as I was supposed to be finishing my master's degree for last May. My administators would not meet with me to take Thursday afternoons off for my Montana studies, but to no avail. While healing, I gave an Impact Victim statement regarding my life after my mother's murder... and I felt hopeless and went in to a dark place for almost a month. Went backwards in brain healing. Now everyone knows my husband, Jefferson, is a hard working independent man of many trades. Old injuries and over work has forced him to sit with his feet up in order to keep the infection at bay and swelling in his hand down. He fought going to the drs at first, because he was coming to the relization that his most valued skills were not going to be an option for his future. We need help! This man has been by my side since my brain injury. His ER visit will not have insurance coverage and we have been on a medical and financial downwars spiral for over 5 months. We are in the process of selling our home and moving, but that takes TIME, especially when it has to be signed by the BIA. Did I mention possible governmental shutdown next week? Any delay here will put us further out. I am only teaching one class this semester in order to hopefully finish my master's. Still haven't earned my 1st paycheck of the semester yet :( We are usually the ones to do sales, fundraisers, over work our body to meet our needs. But none of that is really an option right now.
