Hello, my name is Kassandra and I am writing this on the behalf of my sweet mom. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read what has been going on with my mom's health. My mom has been in and out of the hospital a lot this year. She was diagnosed with asthma a couple years ago, when she began having this cough that never seemed to go away. We did not know what was going on at the time, as doctors also didn't see how serious this would become. My mom had COVID along with our entire immediate family November- December of 2021. My mom's cough never went away. Eventually we were told she had COPD sometime this year and Pulmonary Fibrosis. She's been in and out of the hospital this year due to her blood pressure levels being really low, having pneumonia back to back. We were told she needed and needs a lung transplant. We are still hoping this is a possibility regardless of her state now, but taking it day by day. She was doing well up until this week on Thursday, she didn't feel well. Friday she was a little better. Come to this Saturday (12/30/23), she was not doing well. Her health declined and she became non-responsive. She's still fighting and we are awaiting to see what our next step would be taking it minute by minute. We don't know what the future holds we can just hope for the best and have faith she will be alright.
My mom is the sweetest mom and the best mom ever. She is always welcoming with everyone and loves to have fun, shop, and just be a fly on the wall as she always liked being out anywhere, regardless who it was with and what she was doing. She liked being "Chicle" as she called it. She enjoyed going out and being with family and talking about chismes. My mom without realizing at times is and was the life of the party and everyone loves her. She is tiny but mighty as she liked to say. My family and I appreciate anyone taking the time to read this, and taking the time to help us in this tough journey we have been going through and that my mom has been going through physically, mentally, and emotionally. Much love to everyone. The funds will go to her treatments, hospital bills, whatever it is she will need. Thank you all, again
Update: my mom passed and went to heaven on 12/31/23 at 10:40PM
