I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a deep sense of hope. Our beloved Sonia Sawyer, a devoted mother, cherished friend, dedicated colleague and incredible human being, is currently facing one of life’s toughest battles: cancer. Despite the challenges, Sonia remains strong, courageous, and determined to fight for more time with her greatest treasures—her children.

Three months ago, Sonia discovered that she had a rare cancer which has never been treated in Adelaide before. She has spent many days in hospital having radiotherapy to reduce the spread of this aggressive disease before chemotherapy can be attempted.

Sonia’s journey has been marked by immense courage, but her battle with cancer has also brought financial difficulties.

Treatments, medical bills, and the inability to work have created a significant financial burden.

Beyond the financial strain, Sonia dreams of creating lasting memories with her kids, who are her world.
