It is with immense pride and excitement that I share the story of an extraordinary young athlete —my daughter, Sonia.

At just 15 years old, Sonia has been selected as one of the top 14 athletes to represent Canada at the upcoming Youth Pan American Championships in Medellin, Colombia, May 19 to 25, 2025. This remarkable achievement is a testament to her dedication, talent, and perseverance in the sport.

Sonia has been passionate about swimming and water sports from a young age. She started as a competitive synchronized swimmer before transitioning to water polo, where her strength, determination, and teamwork quickly set her apart. Her selection for the national team marks a huge milestone, offering her the chance to compete at the highest level and proudly represent our community on both national and international stages.

However, participating in high-performance training camps and championships comes with significant financial demands, including travel expenses, accommodation, specialized coaching, and equipment.

The cost of the upcoming camp and championship program in May 2025, will range from approximately $7,700 to a maximum of $9,000 CAD per athlete.
