Songs of the Spirit, Vol. 2!

Music is what brings me most alive in this world, and it's a big part of my calling to serve others as a minister in the United Church of Christ. There's nothing more meaningful to me than knowing that my work has fed the spirit of another.
Thanks to the generosity of my GoFundMe supporters, I was able to take a huge step into my call last summer and travel to Denver, CO to record several of my original, progressive, multifaith worship songs. The resulting EP, "Blessed Are You: Songs of the Spirit," is available at my arts ministry website www.PoetPastor.com. Check it out if you haven't already - it's pay-as-you-can!
Now I have the opportunity to head back to Denver this fall to record six more tracks for another EP. The following songs are already in the lineup:
- God Is Still Speaking
- Make In Me
- Credo (We Believe)
...plus three more! As with my first EP, these songs will be made available, free of charge, as part of my ministry at PoetPastor. Recording is $75 per song, plus musician honoraria, travel costs, and GoFundMe fees. That's why I'm setting a goal of $800 this time out.
By contributing to this campaign, you're not just helping me fulfill my childhood dream of recording and performing my own music, although I'm super thankful for that, too. You're also supporting me to co-create theologically progressive, heart-centered spiritual experiences for individuals and congregations across the U.S. I've heard from people of all ages, from elders to elementary schoolers, from San Francisco to South Dakota, how my music moves them and connects them to their Higher Power... that's all I ever want my music to do.
