Songs Of The Pub: Albany Musicians Unite
Donation protected
Songs Of The Pub is a collaborative album created by a group of 13 musicians who met at Schmidt's Pub in Albany, California. The project brings together bartenders and regulars, each contributing their unique talents to celebrate the vibrant, if sometimes fractured, local music scene. The recording sessions are taking place at Panama Sound, my living room studio, where I serve as engineer, producer, and mixer. Our group includes vocalists, instrumentalists, songwriters, and audio engineers, all united by a shared love of music and community.
This album is more than just a collection of songs—it's a step toward building a stronger, more connected music scene in Albany. My hope is that Songs Of The Pub will inspire others to come together and create, and that it will showcase the incredible talent found in our local community. Personally, this project is a premiere for my skills as an arranger, producer, and mixer. While I have limited experience as a musician, I am passionate about bringing out the best in others and creating something meaningful together.
Funds raised will go directly toward mastering and releasing the album, with the goal of working with Jessica Thompson Audio in Albany. I am covering the cost of recording equipment myself by taking on extra work, as I believe fundraising for private studio gear isn't appropriate. The album is expected to be released in summer 2026, and I plan to host an album release party to celebrate with everyone who has supported us. During this time, I am pausing my monthly open-invitation music jam to focus fully on this project. Thank you for helping us bring Songs Of The Pub to life and for supporting local music in Albany.
