Hi, I’m Dr. Joey Pearson.

As a music minister, educator, and queer person of faith, I write songs that speak to the deep hunger in our world—for justice, belonging, and sacred love that includes everyone.

This album is the next chapter in a journey that began with A Place at the Table, my first spiritual studio album, created in the wake of personal grief and transformation. That project honored my late father and the resilience of LGBTQIA+ people who—like us—have known both rejection and healing in religious spaces. To date, that music has reached over 50,000 listeners around the world.

The message is clear: This work matters, this music heals, and this moment needs it.

Since then, I’ve continued composing and performing original music, especially at Oceanside Sanctuary , where I’ve served as music director for the past few years. These new songs were written for, and with, a community that believes in justice-centered faith, radical love, and spiritual courage.

This new album includes 10 original songs that reflect the journey we’re all on: building community, honoring queer and trans sacredness, facing the pain of the world with compassion, and daring to hope for liberation.

Now, as I celebrate earning my Doctorate of Education from UCLA, I’m launching this next album as a love offering to my communities, my collaborators, and a world in need of new spiritual anthems.
