Song Roastery
Donation protected
Once upon a time I was roasting some coffee at home with a vinyl playing. As I was praying and dreaming about starting a coffee roastery, the name Song Roastery kept coming to mind. As I roasted and rocked out to the music, I imagined the beans soaking in the music and new flavors being added. I was dreaming about a coffee roastery that was actually fun! I thought about roasting coffee for friends and playing their favorite music over it. I thought about delivering our local coffee by bicycle and connecting in fun ways with people. There's this story (set in the future) in the Bible where a city comes down from heaven to rest on earth. I thought about what a coffee roastery in a beautiful city like that would be like and it made my imagination soar! So I thought, yes!, vinyl-bathed coffee delivered by bicycle! I also thought of many more ideas that would help bring a fun atmosphere to everyone who gets our coffee.
Enter the world of vinyl-bathed coffee! Help us get started! For every donation, we have ways listed below for you to experience music with us. If you live in our neighborhood it will arrive via bicycle! Every week we have a featured artist of the week that we bathe our coffee in while it's roasting. We believe that beans love this and it helps unlock more of the beautiful flavors inherent in the coffee!
Song Roastery exists to fill our city with music by delivering (by bicycle) freshly roasted coffee to your door. Can you imagine a coffee that tastes like your favorite music? Our dream is to connect personally with our neighborhood through coffee, music, and by bringing a caring touch to those who need it. We dream of one day having a cafe that has live music playing as the store opens each day and vinyl music playing while the coffee roasts inside.
We are committed to donating a tenth of all our proceeds to Work Readiness programs that help underprivileged in our city find meaningful jobs. We believe this is "music" too!
The money raised will go towards our startup costs, which include:
*10% of funds raised will go towards our local urban farm's work readiness program that provides a job to teens in our neighborhood.
-Funds to start our LLC
-Opening materials to streamline our packaging and delivery such as printers for labels and shipping
-Our website is currently being built by a friend of ours who is doing it at a very discounted rate
-Any remaining funds will go towards a larger roaster to bring fun and coffee to more people
The following ways are ways you can donate and at the same time experience our coffee. They are named after the different sections of jazz orchestras from the olden days. These jazz records are amazing and fun to find old recordings of at your local vinyl store.
