We are heartbroken to share the tragic loss of a beloved member of our community, Song Qian, who was working as a caregiver in Vaughan, Ontario.

On the evening of Sunday, October 4, 2026, she was on her way to work when she was struck by a vehicle in a devastating hit-and-run accident. Tragically, she was left beside the road, lying in the thick grass, and was not found until Tuesday, October 6—nearly two days later

Her life was taken suddenly and tragically, leaving family, friends, and the people she cared for in profound grief.

She came to Canada to work hard and build a better life for her family. She devoted her time and energy to helping others, providing compassion, comfort, and support to those who depended on her. She was an enthusiastic and hardworking person who touched the lives of many.

Her family is in China and is now facing the unimaginable pain of losing their loved one from thousands of kilometers away. They are trying to make arrangements to travel to Canada to say their final goodbye and bring some closure to this devastating loss.
