Space of Mind Takes Manhattan!
We're hitting the road again March 28-April 2, 2017!
Every year our school takes an educational trip to historical landmarks in the US. Last year, we ventured up to the East Coast and Washington DC on a Magical History Tour through St. Augustine, Savannah, Charleston, Raleigh, Williamsburg and DC and back. In previous years, we’ve volunteered in New Orleans, recreated our version of the Freedom Ride through Birmingham, Montgomery, Selma and Atlanta, and we’ve gone to Boston.
This year we’re taking on a cultural tour of NYC! We will be visiting the 9/11 Memorial Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Natural History, the Whitney art museum, the Statue of Liberty, the United Nations and more! We’ll be visiting the different ethnic neighborhoods, eating in some off-the-beaten-path spots! We’re even hitting Broadway and seeing the award winning show Hamilton!
Our goal is to learn about our past, present and future in order to become more innovative, motivated, and knowledgeable as citizens of the world through the arts, environmental issues, humanitarian causes and the history of this amazing city.
We are launching this GoFundMe campaign and are posting our story because we need YOUR help to take this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; it’s a time to explore, grow and bring awareness to the sites we will see and global issues we will learn about! Every time you donate, you get a prize; you’ll get to plant a tree in the local Delray Garden or win a jar of Mason Jar Munchies oatmeal, or you may even want to go big and join us to see Hamilton! Donate as much as a dollar, or as many dollars as you please.
Have an aweSOMe day!
