Sometimes You Have to Fight Twice to Win

Hi my name is Brandy Edwards. I have been dreading writing this hoping if I didn't that this nightmare some how wasn't true! I battled Cancer in 2019. It was a long road but I did it! Unfortunately, almost 3 years to the day of the first diagnosis, I have gotten some pretty horrific news that Hodgkins Lymphoma is back! I was in remission for just 2 years! This news has been pretty devastating and overwhelming for me and my family! I have an Amazing Husband and 2 amazing Daughters who are 16 and 17! I also have 2 amazing pups, Zora and Finnley, who were right by my side through the first battle and just helped get me up every day even when I felt I didn't want to! My Husband and Kiddos are so amazing and so supportive. Always helping me out of the dark days and reassuring me that I am strong and loved! We are in this fight together! There are still some unknowns but my Dr said I will be starting treatment Aug 22nd! This time around I will be doing ICE which will then lead into an Auto Stem Cell Transplant. These Stem Cells will be retrieved from My own blood. Hoping this will be the answer that cures this aweful disease once and for all! All of these treatments require hospital stays any where from 3 days to 7 weeks!

I have been a Hairstylist for 23 years. My dr told me I need to shut my salon down this time for 8 months to a year! This is devastating and I have no idea how my little family is going to stay a float through this second storm of hell!

I am afraid I will lose my salon for good this time! But I'm trying to not worry about that as much as my home and trying to get my body to heal! My husband already works 6 days a week but Times are going to be tough since we are most definitely a 2 income house hold! He is going to need to take a few days off here and there to help care for me when those dark days of being chemo sick strike! I hate asking for help. I am usually the one that loves helping everyone! I know times are super tough for everyone and if its just positive vibes and prayers you can send I really appreciate that too.
