Dave and Annie Crispin

Annie has been a hero for so many and now she needs a hero… lots of heroes. Having faced adversity several times in her life, she finds herself facing the hardest challenge - having been diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia, AML. She was immediately admitted to ICU at West Penn Hospital as she was having brain bleeds. She has begun intense treatment with chemotherapy, daily blood transfusions, all with the goal of keeping her alive. To make matters even worse, she was just diagnosed with COVID which has impacted her ability to have her husband and sons with her. Dave and her two sons are her source of love and strength.

Annie and her husband Dave both served in the United States Army, Dave having done tours in Iraq and Kosovo, both in the 101st where they met. They have now been married for 21 years and have two amazing sons, Nathan who is 17 years old, and David who is 20 years old. They have served our country, kept us safe and protected our freedoms and well-being. We are hoping we can now give back and help them.

Annie and Dave are loved by many, and in an effort to alleviate some of the worries and stressors they are facing we are raising funds for them to help with medical bills. The medicine alone, just one of them is over $10,000, and we know their financial situation is just going to get worse without our help.

Annie has been a 911 dispatcher for around 16 years and just recently joined the Veterans Service Offices Butler County. She is determined to represent Butler Counties Veterans and helps with everything from claims to burials. She has never forgotten to take care of her military family. She primarily contributes to the family’s finances, as her husband Dave is currently attending classes. This makes the current situation even more critical. Given that she will not be able to return to work, she will lose her insurance soon, which will tax the family even further. Dave was medically retired from the Army after receiving several injuries overseas and stateside. He has rebuilt his professional life and is now currently in school.

Annie is such a giving and kind person and loved by so many in their community. She is always thinking of someone else and finding ways to help. We are hopeful that we can now help her with your generosity. We are grateful for any amount donated, all of which will make a huge impact on the lives of a family that’s touched so many in so many ways.

Thank you for your love, support and prayers.

We understand that times are tough, in lieu of cash donations, we ask to donate blood to VITALANT. They service the Pittsburgh hospitals. Please at time of donation state that this will be a direct donation to Annie Crispen, at West Penn Hospital. Her blood type is O positive.
