Hello to all my new friends! My name is Dani! I’m 32 years old and work with youth on the south side of Chicago. I love my life, my friends, family, and the little lives I get to touch daily. In October was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma. See the update below to know what that means medically. It has been a crazy last few months (my car was also stolen in October- see original post for that story) but God has been so good and so faithful to me! Hi family! I will keep the original post below, but wanted to give this fundraiser a facelift and update as I will be keeping it open as I continue to kick cancer!
So far I have been able to secure a rental as my car is being worked on and pay some of my piling medical bills! I’m so grateful! Currently, I am averaging three or more doctors visits per week, many with scans that cost $600 (plus) dollars. I am asking that you continue to pray, give, and share. I am still very much in the middle of the fight and can use every ounce of help I can get.
I know it is the Christmas season, and this is not a small ask. I will be raising my goal significantly and will see what it to come of it in the weeks and months to come.
Love you all so much! I am fighting, but thank God- I am not fighting alone!

I have been reluctant to share this news, but here we are. About two weeks after my cancer diagnosis my car was stolen in the middle of the night from in front of my house. It has been a trend nationally to break in and steal Kia’s (thanks Kia Boys ) and they got mine. Two days later it was recovered by the police! I was just informed that because so many Kia’s are being taken , all of the parts are back ordered and it can be another six weeks until my car is finished. Yes, I’ve cried about it- but in the meantime I have to move into action.
I have been getting to work and my doctors appointments by borrowing cars, but that well has run dry.
However, I need to get to work and continue going to the doctors for my cancer treatment.
I am asking anyone who can donate to help me get a rental that I can use between now and January 6th.
The cost will be approximately $2,000. My insurance has covered some days of a rental, but those days have come and gone.
I know it’s the holiday season and this is no small ask.
Here’s what I need:
* Prayer to remain steadfast with every wave that I’ve been hit with this season. Prayer for healing and to remain in faith that God will continue to take care of all my needs.
* Funds- for a rental
* Share- even if you can’t donate, please share this at least once.
