Youth Attending All America City

Out of an extraordinary number of applicants,  the youth of The City of Somerville have been selected as  finalists  in the All-America City Awards in Denver, CO. The  focus of this   event  is  "Spotlight on Engaging and Supporting Vulnerable Boys and Young Men".  While our city serves as a facilitator to  a multitude of programs created by and intended for young people, we pride ourselves on the fact that youth opportunities are availiable to all youth. The city's youth will be given the opportunity to write and perform in  a skit that highlights their astonishing achievements and  the exceptional opportunities available to them in the city.  The purpose of this trip is to engage future civic leaders in a community driven project which culminates in a nationally recognized community award.  This process brings youth from all over the country together to learn from each other’s experiences.  Many of these youth do not have the financial means to attend this event and each and every dollar will help to get these fine young people to Denver, Colorado to build their skill set and allow them to receive the high level of recognition they deserve.  Every cent of your donation  will go directly to the cost of  the flight, hotel stay and meals for the youth.  We greatly appreciate your generosity to support this once in a lifetime experience.
