Hello my name is Tayler. I never thought this would ever be reality but my parents recently lost their home in a structure fire in Somerset, CA on August 20th, 2025. My parents and I have been residents of El Dorado County our entire lives. We love our wonderful, beautiful community. We survived the Caldor Fire in 2021 and almost 4 years later to the day tragedy struck once more.

The events were devastating. Vehicles, life savings, all their belongings and their home were lost in the fire, leaving them with only the clothes on their backs. Luckily they are still alive but a lifetime of memories has now been reduced to ashes.

The road ahead is very overwhelming. We are now faced with the painful task of starting over from scratch, without a home, essentials or a place to turn.

We are reaching out to our community, friends, and kind-hearted strangers to ask for your support during these hard times. Any donation, big or small- will go directly towards helping them secure temporary housing, replace daily necessities, and begin the long journey of rebuilding their lives.
