On July 19th I arrived at CRMC’s emergency room via a 2 hr ambulance ride around midnight. The doctors could not find out what was causing me so much pain. Turns out I had spinal meningitis. While doing testing to figure out what was wrong with me, they found a cancerous tumor on my right kidney. Clear cell papillary renal cell carcinoma to be exact. I have to have Surgery ASAP but as I have medi-cal they are having a hard time finding a surgeon to do robotic surgery which is safer, less invasive and will save me from having my entire kidney removed. I was in the process of starting a new job. I was set to start work on July 20th. I am not medically cleared to go back to work. My doctor has referred me to be put on temporary disability while I wait to find a surgeon. I have not been paid in a few months, and disability can take several months to process. I am in need of a helping hand. My trucks registration is up and I have had to cancel insurance on it. I’m gambling every time i drive to drs appointments but I cannot miss them. Please help if you can it would be so much worry lifted off my shoulders. I have been selling personal items to keep from getting behind financially.
