Famine Relief 2017 : All Regions of Somalia . *Emergency Sutiuation* Inshallah for the sake of our people .
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
Our Names are Liban Adam, Khalid , Nadira ,Hafsa ,Hani,Mohemed and Mido we are part of the Somali Youth that live in the Twin Cities. I am writing you this letter to raise funds to offer immediate relief to our Somali brothers and sisters that are hit hard by famine that is now going on in many parts of Northern and South, Northeastern Somalia and southern Somalia.
*SuggestedMinimum donation 50$ , but ALL Donations are welcome.
Many people are dying of starvation and malnutrition this includes mothers, children, elders and many more
The famine has hit particularly hard regions such as Bari, Sanaag, Karkaar, Guardafui,Awdal,Sanaag, parts of Sool and Bai, Bakool, Muqadisho, kismayo and parts of
Northwestern part Somaliland.
Numerous cropland and thousands of livestock have already perished. Over 60,000 children are imminent risk of starving to death if we fail to offer urgent relief and support. The level of malnutrition, especially among children, is of serious concern.
A report by the UN in 2016 states that "close to 305,000 children under the age of five years are acutely malnourished." Food shortage and skyrocketing of prices of little food that is left has forced many people leave their homes due to the desperate situation there.
We, the Somali youth have started to raise funds to help those less fortunate than us in the drought affected areas in Somalia.
We know that you deeply care about the heritage and ellbeing of our homeland and its people we do too! And it is with this in mind that we appeal to you to help us help our brothers and sisters - that you will find it in your heart to donate a
suggested minimum donation of $50 so we may be able to help and offer assistance to those affected by
God said in the Holy Quran :
"And perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat, and whatever of good (deeds that Allah loves) you send forth for yourselves before you, you shall find it with Allah. Certainly, Allah is All-Seer of what you do." - 002:110 Khan

**How we know the beneficiaries : There is a famine going on in somalia, I have worked with Salama idp camp in Garowe, Gomalia and we have worked with the mothers and children last couple years , with the help of local NGO Read Horn , and its head quarters .
**A clear plan to deliver our donation is that the donations will delivered through the Non-profit of read horn of Africa http://readhornofafrica.org/ then the non-profit will turn the donations to food and emergency aid kits , strictly and help 100-200 families that are affected by the famine and are waiting in these IDP camps for help. As we have done in couple campaigns in the past our aim is to help those starving and dying in the 2017 famine which was declared by the united nations in the horn of Africa.
**End results : we will have fb live/video/pictures coverage of the food distribution on my facebook and social media. Receipts of the food and aide will be sent and announced by the non-profit that is partners with us . My Facebook is Liban Adam for more information contact me there.

USE OF FUNDS: It will be used to Buy food such as corn, grain, rice , bottles of water , clothes from Local stores. Then It will be Shipped to the Regions of Northern , Southern, Centeral Somalia that is affected. From there a Local NGO or the Ministry of Health will take the Aide and disperse it to the families affected by the famine in IDP camps and shelters. 2) Second Use of funds will given to a Non-profit in Minneapolis chosen by the people who will be donating and they will send it out to the victims of the famine. A year and half ago when we did this we partnered with Araha ( African Relief Agency) with Mr. Salah Donyale and CEO Fadumo Jibril to give the funds the affected families in Center Somalia.
