In February of 2025, I (Solveig Smith) auditioned to become a member of the National Youth Theatre along with over 5,000 other young aspiring actors. In April I was delighted to find out that I was one of the 8% to be accepted onto their summer intake course, allowing me to become a member of this inspiring organisation and opening the door for many more exciting opportunities. Your support would truly mean a lot to me as it will help me to achieve this exciting next step in my acting journey.

What is the National Youth Theatre?
The National Youth Theatre of Great Britain (NYT) is a youth
theatre in London, created with the aim of developing young
people's artistic skills via theatrical productions and other creative
endeavours. Founded in 1956 as the world's first youth theatre, it
has built a reputation for nurturing the early talent of actors and
musicians such as Daniel Craig, Daniel Day-Lewis, Colin Firth,
Derek Jacobi, Helen Mirren, Rosamund Pike, Kate Winslet, Sophie
Ellis-Bextor, Ed Sheeran and many more.
