I first met Robby while on a trip with my wife to Solvang. I saw there was a skate shop up this random stairway and wondered up. I was immediately met by this long haired guy that treated me like a best friend right off the bat. In those first few seconds I knew this shop was something special. When you go into Solvang Skate Shop you can tell the business side takes a backseat to community growth and youth development. Later I learned Robby started Skating for Hope a nonprofit that helps kids with parents effected by cancer. These camps help kids develop skills and give them a sense of confidence.

Money raised by this campaign will help Robby keep the lights on in the shop and help with future skate camps for kids. It’ll also allow Robby to stock the shelves with Solvang Skate Shop merch and keep the skate culture alive in Solvang.

In this world it’s rare to find someone that puts so many ahead of themselves. I encourage anyone that’s read this far to reach out to Robby and you’ll quickly realize why we need him and this shop in the community.
