Hailing from Brisbane in the heart of Queensland, Australia, the Solstice Guitar Duo features two of Australia's most charismatic and energetic classical guitarists Clancy Anderson and Dominic Ward. Having both met and studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music under the tutelage of world renowned guitarist Karin Schaupp, we bring a passionate and lively energy to the world of guitar performance. We have extensively performed all across South-East Queensland and interstate at events and festivals such as the Brisbane Music Festival, Noosa Guitar Festival and Music by the Sea Festival. Providing a virtuosic range of guitar music, our performances takes audiences on a evocative journey through the world of the classical guitar, and has been praised by several prominent figures in the classical music world including Leonard Grigoryan, Paul Svoboda, Richard Charlton and Paul Dean.

We have been accepted to undertake the exclusive six month Master's in Classical Guitar Performance program at the Universitat d'Alicant in Spain beginning January 2026. As two of the fourteen guitarists that have been chosen from all over the world to participate in this course, we will have the amazing opportunity to learn, develop and thrive under the guidance of some of the world's leading guitar virtuosi and educators, including David Russell, Manuel Barrueco, Meng Su and Gabriel Bianco.

We feel incredibly privileged to have the opportunity to hone our craft so that we may return to Australia to share our musical development and enrich the Australian classical music scene. As international students participating in this valuable course, we are seeking financial support to assist us for a six month duration.
