Sol’s Medical Fundraiser

Hi, I’m fundraising for my bestfriend Tess’s sister Sol Shiroyama, 63 years old, who’s fighting cervical cancer. She has two adult daughters and grandchildren in the Philippines and has been staying with Tess since May in Jacksonville, Florida. She came here to visit and to help take care of her newborn grandnephew.

In the past weeks she has been experiencing pain in her stomach, groin and back. They took her to the ER because her pain got so unbearable. She had cervical cancer early last year, went through rounds of chemo and radiation after which her Ct scan showed she was cancer free last December and was cleared to travel. 

When she went to the ER, her Ct scan showed pulmonary metastasis, thickening in her esophagus and a swollen kidney. She got admitted and needed an immediate kidney stent and endoscopy. She is awaiting lymph node biopsy.

One big challenge is she doesn’t have health insurance. She’s not in any shape to travel back to the Philippines to be with her family. She could use any financial help to pay her medical bills.

If God leads you to help financially, Sol would be so ever grateful. She can’t worry and have any more stress added to her physical condition.
