Sol's Medical Battle: Your Support Matters

Hi friends and loved ones,

This isn’t easy for me to write about. I’ve always been someone who loves to give and show up for others—whether it’s supporting a friend, volunteering, or just being a shoulder to lean on. Asking for help isn’t in my comfort zone, but right now, I need to.

A few months ago, I was diagnosed with cancer. I’m currently undergoing chemotherapy as I am preparing for a bone marrow transplant in the coming weeks. At the same time, I’m living with kidney failure and receiving dialysis three times a week.

Life changed overnight.

Before all of this, I was active, working, enjoying time with family and friends, cooking, planning little adventures. Now, my days are filled with hospital visits, treatments, and resting as much as I can. It’s a lot to carry all at once, but I’m staying hopeful and focused on healing one day at a time.

Sol is the strongest person I know, resilient, generous, and full of light. She’s always been the one people turn to in a crisis, the first to show up with a kind word, a meal, or a hand to hold. She’s not just my wife—she’s my best friend and the heart of our family.

Watching her go through this with such courage humbles me every day. But it’s also incredibly hard. The treatments are grueling, and the financial impact is more than we can carry alone.

We’re raising funds to help cover:

• The bone marrow transplant and medical costs

• Ongoing chemotherapy and prescriptions

• Dialysis treatments three times a week

• Travel and lodging for appointments

• Home recovery and caregiving support

• Living expenses while we take time away from work to focus on her care
