Solomon Island Fundraising 2024

We are seeking donations for the children and schools in the Solomon Islands.

Each year the National School of Education at ACU run a Solomon Islands Immersion Program where ACU education students teach in the Solomon Islands. During our visit, we will work with Bishop Epalle Catholic School and St Vincent de Paul Primary School.

The Solomon Islands is one of the world's poorest of the Global South (developing) countries. They have very few teaching and learning resources, and what is available is often too expensive for individuals or schools to purchase. Many items we take for granted in Australian schools are not available to buy in the country, or the quality of what is available is poor and does not withstand the repeated use that occurs in a school setting.

We will take as many resources and as much funding as possible to the schools and communities that we visit – and we need your help!
