Solo, the Short Film
Donation protected
A Towson University Thesis Film.

Solo is the story of an inner-city gang member who struggles to meet the deadline for an upcoming art festival after his gang leader has called for a hostile takeover.
The story takes place in Baltimore City and is centered around disadvantaged urban youths, gang violence and the arts. We are also ambitiously tackling the issue of the predisposition of black males to street violence as well as the issue of fatherlessness.

Josh Nathan Writer & Director
"Despite the amount of writing and videography work I've done before, Solo will be my directorial debut. I mean, I've directed countless shorts and freelance projects but this would be the first project I've completely and wholeheartedly worked on. We haven't even begun principle photography and I've already invested so much of myself into this piece. That makes me nervous *laughs*. This story has so much potential, I know it's destined for greatness."
Josh is a third-year Electronic Media and Film major with a minor in Creative Writing. Throughout his time at Towson he has worked as a Director of Photography for a number of projects, as the Videography Manager for Student Activites and has assisted in many productions. Outside of school he works as a freelance videographer and photographer which has allowed him to further develop his eye for aesthetics. Creative Writing has allowed him to take his love for writing, one he has had since elementary school, to another level.
Sam Teasley Producer
“With this film, I am excited to take on the challenge as Producer. We are working hard night and day to build our film into what we believe it can be. Our group is very ambitious and we are excited to provide our viewers with what’s going to be an extravaganza of passion, violence, beauty, and pain that is, Solo.”
Sam is a senior Electronic Media and Film major who has produced a wide range of projects spanning from short narrative films, animated shorts, radio commercials, and experimental films. Outside of school he works for a variety of commercial and theatrical production companies further refining and improving his skill as a Producer.
