Solo traveling to safety

In 2023 my contract with Meta ended ahead of their mass layoffs. With unemployment insurance, I could make it through 9 months before everything fell apart in Los Angeles-- my home of 5 years.
My family has supported me as I've applied to full-time jobs... despite making it to the final pool of applicants for dream jobs, my nightmare continues. Additionally, I’ve worked with a career counselor, re-done my resume and portfolio (yes, for ~ATS~), had informational interviews with alumni from my college, and utilized referrals.
Previous to Meta, I was harassed by my boss, whose behavior made female co-workers deeply uncomfortable as well, and had to settle out of court.
Before that job, I was promised full-time jobs through two contracts—one ending in mass layoffs and the other related to a global pandemic.
It’s impossible to summarize the extent of what I’ve experienced here.
Before leaving LA, I was stealing food. Upon arriving home, I was completely isolated for more than a year. I’ve paddled through all of these riptides and survived. I want the chance to start fresh entirely on my own, beginning with solo traveling until it feels safer to return to U.S.
