For our Charity Week 2025, our Solihull Prep School community is proud and excited to raise funds for the Matt Gallagher Foundation.

Matt attended Solihull School and he loved it so much he came back many years later to coach rugby, a sport he discovered his love for whilst here.

Matt was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in October 2023, and soon afterwards he and his family set up The Matt Gallagher Foundation to help people suffering with MND in the Midlands area.

Their charity offers support to both those with MND, and their families. Whether it is funding a stairlift, wet room or helping fund a dream holiday to make lasting memories with loved ones, they understand that time is of the essence. They also recognise that delays provided by larger organisations can often cause additional pain and suffering, so they aim to make quick decisions in providing support - where and when it is needed most.

Solihull Prep School children & staff will, with Matt’s full encouragement, keep smiling and spread positivity throughout our week of fundraising.
